Ku Cari Damai Di Hati

Good Evening and Salam MADANI to my Worshipful Followers and Friends. Suddenly, I realized that I had not written for a very, very long time. That is because “Ku Cari Damai Di Hati”. Events that took place in our country since I last blogged have boggled my mind. For example:

 

1. Scandals, 1MDB.
2. From 2018 to 2022, we had 4 prime ministers within 6 years.
3. Hot and explosive cases prosecuted in our courts.
4. Glittering Awards were given out 
5. High-profile personalities were hauled up for investigations.
6. The price of roti canai and teh tarik went up. Worst still, there’s a short supply of chicken eggs. Nowadays, I eat half a roti telur and drink half a glass of teh tarik.
7. Immense focus on COVID-19 and total disregard of dengue fatalities.

I am stopping at 7 because ku cari damai di hati ku. Too much to share, which I will do slowly to avoid stress. I also have some good ideas (subject to these being debated and approved by Parliament) such as:

 

1. Whether we need a 5-star prison or a 6-star prison? (If the government got money, 7-star pun boleh 👍)
2. Is it time for us to construct prisons to house love birds? (PM me for more details 😂)
3. Award for Best Dressed Lawyers (Male and Female) in Court. Not at bar dinners.
4. A proper selection criteria to select our ministers and deputy ministers - for example, they must be funny... BAK KUT TEHHHH!!! TAYLOR SWIFT CONCERT!!! KITA RUGI, SINGAPORE UNTUNG💪
5. Should we seriously propose Bicycle Lajak as an Olympic sport? (We can't even win gold in Sepak Takraw in SEA Games)

 

I think these are some of the issues that our country should debate seriously and make collective decisions on.

 

On a serious note, It's time for me to write Part 2 of "Our Story" on our website, continuing from where we left off. This December, our firm Muhendaran Sri will be celebrating its 25th year of existence. O think its a good time for me to recap events from the year 2020 until now. As you know, we are still (as individuals & as  a nation) struggling to recover from the pandemic.

To start off, I thank all our legal assistants, interns and cockroaches for their contribution and non-contribution to the firm. All I can say is - TERIMA KASIH, THANK YOU.
