the office without them

them lot have gone to the lawasia labour conference - we last saw them on wednesday, and shall only have them gracing us with their presence again on monday... who them? kavi, mehala and ms.. they represent "almost" our entire industrial relations law team....

"them" have not been around, and we miss them slightly... ok, ok... a little bit more than slightly la. the office is too quiet without their rowdy shouting and yelling... there's 5 of us left in the office - but we still can't seem to be able to make the same amount of noise those three make together... and so far none of us has had an urge to throw something at someone else, which is rare in this office. also i am sad to report, that yesterday, we only had a 1 hour lunch and a mug of divine coffee in the afternoon... no other snacking in between. you are horrified i know... we are terribly slacking, but shall try and make it up next week when they are back...

but don't fear, help is near - gitanjali's coming in after nursery today, so i guess we shall be able to fill the silence after all... i brought her play dough set, so you see we aren't really committed to sorrow after all... (ps: this is an insider joke arising from an obituary yesterday - please apply within for details - i can't be explaining everything here to you after all)

being in here today, and facing this quietness, in an office which is rarely quiet, makes me wonder how in heaven pramo and madhavi coped when we went off to kinabalu in may... uggghh...

yesterday, for a change, pramo, shan and i had thai food at b'sar village. it was good...

now i wonder what's for lunch????
