first quarter review

we had a birthday party for lourdes yesterday. kalai came as well as some of ms' toastmaster friends. gitanjali as usual was here in time to cut the cake and blow the candles...

mehala's baby is due next week or the week after, and she seems pretty fed up with it all. gitanjali's 1 week school break is over and its back to school for her next week.

it's amazing how fast the days are galloping by. its already friday, and today's already the 17th ...tsk tsk. in the blink of an eye, april will be with us - i have to say it makes me feel a little melancholy (which is unusual for me - as i'm usually insanely cheerful) and wonder what we've achieved thus far.

let me therefore remind you of our victories thus far:
1. except for lau's case (where we suspect dark forces to have taken a hand), we have won all our cases this year.

2. everyone in the office has settled in, and we seem to be operating well as a unit.

3. for the first time in (our) history, we shall have our own corporate t-shirts.

4.we have reached the 1600 mark in our file ref. numbers and exceeded it (yay!)

5.we have cut down on the ice-cream per capita intake in the office (meaning we are consuming less ice-creams per capita lah) [what do you mean this is not a victory - we are losing weight ok...]

6.the rats haven't made a reappearance.

7.we seem to be winning in the war against the cockroaches.

8.we have appointed a driver (uncle maniam applied for the job and he's starting soon)

cannot remember anything else, i but shall update this list if necessary... have to say that making this list has cheered me up a little.

now i think i need an ice-cream.
