let's eat something
just back to the office from kuala kubu bahru (kkb) court. had a nice drive up with pramodini (we have taken the liberty of calling her pramo) - very scenic. went and did a bit of a goreng with the magistrate and came back in time to have the remnants of lunch. looks like in this office, our motto, if we can be said to have one, is "let's have something to eat"... so by the time pramo and i came back, this lot had finished off not only their lunches, but had also cleaned up their respective ice-creams, all except for kavi, who sat there flaunting her lychee (fruit) drink...
kumar, the virus chair, has paid us a sudden visit, - this was apparently the sign that ms needed that it was time for tea, so they've both gone off... and its not even 4 o'clock yet... tsk tsk.
the cabinet re-shuffle has worked out well, and we've finally managed to get computer tables for madhavi and pramo, so madhavi has started working at the table opposite me. must say its nice (and convenient) to have her here at arm's reach... shanti too is coping well as new receptionist cum manager of petty cash accounts.
in view of mehala's absence, we have had to divest her of petty cash responsibilities, and pramo is now in charge...we are still limping along with mehala's files. dramatic power struggle going on as i try to prevent an avalance of work falling on my head...
cockroaches have disappeared, just as suddenly as they appeared. obviously our pests are seasonal. first the rats, then the roaches.
shanti is in a bright green t-shirt today (shock! horror!!!!) have told her that it is not at all proper receptionising attire ...
oh look. it's already 3.15. surely a sign that we have to eat something... shall go look. shan has gone off to class, apparently having tired of gossip mongering. madhavi has vowed to strangel him for divulging her romantic secrets on this blog.
i see that for all of shan's gossiping, he has left out a tasty tidbit - he has for some reason known not even to himself, gone off and shaved his head bald. v. bald. no reason at all. but he looks ok i think, though kavi has lots to say to the contrary....
