shanti the genie
pramodhini has been inducted into the glories of industrial court mentions by mehala today, and is off for her inaugural mention tomorrow... her name has been short-formed to pramo by the way - which makes typing easier i have to admit. today has been a full swing monday, with everyone happily pounding away at their keyboards. even shanti (our new very industrious, very young clerk) has been kept busy, and has only had the opportunity to ask me whether i have any work for her, twice today.. usually she is at it all day long and reminds me of that genie in the story, you know the one who asks for your wishes, sneers (as if to say, is that all?) and then finishes off the job with a clap... and then turns around to ask, have you got any more wishes.... shanti is exactly the same, except i've not seen her clapping... aaaarrggghh, just as i was typing this, she turned up to ask me whether there's anything for her to do... have very cleverly sent her off to buy currypuffs and cakes for tea.. that should hold her for a bit
ms and pramo have gone off to court - today has been fixed for the hearing of our application to recuse a particular chairman from a case we are handling on the grounds of prejudice... sadly the application is to be heard by the very chairman we are attempting to remove - he is supposed to make a finding that he is prejudiced towards our client i presume... so much for justice being seen to be done...this particular application has been fixed for hearing at least 5 times, and the chairman has somehow succesfully evaded each hearing date - we are open to bets as to whether today's hearing will go on or not...
kalai came by for lunch today. we had chinese food- the chilli chicken having special mention. yikes, she is back with the currypuffs already...it's just like that genie i tell you. have to go and give her some work now...
today has been so busy that we have not had the time to think of any numbers or alphabets sponsoring the day, but we like the number 118, which is the amount of stamp duty paid on tan sri's tenancy agreement....
