it's a wrap

today's the last day of my 7 day birthday celebrations, and i've had such fun. i came in on friday, and there were balloons over my table. hurrah! had lots and lots of presents, all of which were wonderful, cheesecake and indian food for lunch and visitors the whole day. it was like a party in the office. v. nice. new kitchen cabinet arrived on friday as well - we've thrown away the old cabinets and brought in new plants - its looking so cosy now, it looks like we'll have to have another party to celebrate...

saturday was ponggal (harvest festival), so happy ponggal everyone...

went off this morning for my trial - and came back before lunch. the magistrate came in, gave a decision on a preliminary point and the postponed the trial... tis the life of a trial lawyer. constantly preparing for cases, gearing up, waiting in court, and then coming back like a deflated balloon, to prepare again for another day... tsk tsk

we had chinese food for lunch today. kavi's not back from court and mehala is not coming in (she's got food poisoning, poor thing). office is like a silent tomb. shall have to go off and do some work shortly...
