Happy Bosses' Day
gosh! it's been so long since i updated this blog. did you miss me? bet you did. so many things happened over the past one month that i cannot remember the half of it. needless to say the office (and all its inmates) survived 6 weeks of gitanjali in the office. the end of october and the first week of november rushed by in the usual festive debauchery of eating and eating and eating. we closed for a week to celebrate diwali and aidilfitri.
we reopened on the 7th and had an office diwali party on the 12th. it was great fun. we had roti jala, chicken curry, mee siam (noodles), fried chicken, cookies and a whole lot of other stuff - rule was to come in traditional attire, so everyone came looking pretty, especially shan in his veshti.
november promised to be a busier than normal month, and the girls ran around like headless chicken preparing for the trials (which were fixed chock-a-block) ; turns out almost everything got postponed or vacated - such is the life of a litigation lawyer...
oh! my wallet was pick-pocketed when i was doing my diwali shopping, so i lost all my cards and some cash. it was quite terrible. i went and made the police report and all, and the next day, i had a flat tire...i went to make my mykad, and had to wait 6 hours (can you believe it? 6 hours) in maju junction waiting for it to be done...shish (kebab).
the whole of last week whizzed by as i was busy clearing up all the work i had set aside because of the holidays. finally this week, it looks like i can take a breather. have decided to spend some time with my poor neglected child this week.
today both darshini and madhavi are not in, so the rest of are being part time receptionists. apparently yesterday was bosses' day, so we're having a party!!! yay!!!
