kavi survived

i'm back, after a severe attack of the flu. the trail of (used and pretty moist) tissue papers around the office this past couple of days has been neverending...i'm so ill...as i type this i have some tissue dangling prettily out of my left nostril, accessorising sweetly with the crumpled tissue on my keyboard.

today is kavitha's anniversary - she has been with us for exactly one year. she says it feels like its been ten years - then insists that this is a good thing.

the merrymaking and celebrations have been adjourned to next week, to enable everyone to recover from my flu.

we have pierced gitanjali's ears. she looks just as cute as ever, but with earrings.

ransom (the fighting fish) and queen latifah (his babe) seemed to be in labour, and kavi and shan made all of us rush and stare at the fish bowl 2 days ago, b'cos they swore they saw eggs coming out. i didn't see any eggs. they kept telling me to see the eggs. there were no eggs. finally they declared that ransom was eating the eggs. told them that according to national geographic, the male fish hatches the eggs, hence finding nemo.

decided to separate q.latifah and ransom to assist in the delivery, and to prevent all parties from further consumption of caviar (the eggs...)

it's been 2 days now and i don't see any baby fish, the explanation of which could be:
a. she was never pregnant
b. there are no eggs - she has not delivered yet
c. he ate the eggs
d. she ate the eggs
e. they hatched in the middle of the night, and escaped to hollywood to try to get parts in nemo 2
f. it takes more than 2 days to hatch fish eggs

personally i prefer option e, and hope that in view of the fact that legally i am the guardian and possibly parent (and definitely owner) of ransom and q. latifah, the kids will thank me when they pick up that oscar...

we hired a clerk, and rachel was her name-oh
rachel was to start today
but she failed to come to work-oh
what does it mean, you say
more interviews-oh
