flora and fauna
in case you lot were wondering what that last post was all about, we can now count rats among the fauna and flora of this office. 2 rats. apparently dead. tho' mehala insists there's a whole lot more just partying under the fridge. incidentally, they ate all our flora. the rats.
we came in yesterday morning and found all the pots plantless. made me feel almost like i was in some episode of the x-files, you know? walked around wondering to myself, did i imagine them? were there ever really any plants there? probably some figment of my imagination that i have been watering... but then mathavi came over and assured me, that no, we really did have plants up to yesterday. don't have them anymore
did you know that rats ate plants out of pots? insane but true. today morning they're dead. the rats. poisoned by obi wan or is this the revenge of the pith?
trial all morning. it was insufferable. documents after horrible documents. full of terrible terrible numbers. poor magistrate was bored out of his mind - he kept staring at the witness, at me, at the plaintiff lawyer asking all the boring questions, at my client, at the clock, at the policewoman. finally at 1.20 he pretended he had something urgent to do in the afternoon, and postponed it to August. Yay....
came back to saga of dead rats. mehala received a basket of flowers. we have attempted to hire another clerk. will only know tomorrow if she is going to turn up...
still no fish babies. that poor queen latifah is positively being harassed by ransom. feel like getting her a restraining order... fountain is leaking....rats are disco dancing....
