Day 2 of gitanjali's birthday

it's wednesday. yesterday was gitanjali's 2nd birthday. we had a mini party in the office, cake, party hats, streamers and all...the cake was v. nice, it had peaches and strawberries on it. we also had cheese tarts (courtesy of mehala), chips (kavi), bubbles (i bought this horrible bubble gun that makes a terrible sound when you press it. did not know it was a vocal toy when i got it...), indian food with chinese soup (old cucumber soup) and vegetables (all sponsored by ajeet) and a doll house (present from mahes, padma and guna).

countdown: 3 more working days (incl. today) for shan.

shan's classes have started but he is refusing to stop work - he's been taking time off to attend classes, after which he scuttles back here for some nagging from the girls...obviously enjoys punishment...

new clerk came in today (phew!)...she looks like she is going to fit in, so shall not say anything more. let's see whether she's still here tomorrow...
