noodles and a mystery

gitanjali is in the office today b'cos my mother is busy. she is systematically wrecking the place, and looking adorable doing so, therefore shall not bug her. madhavi has assigned herself to looking after her for the day.

broke the news to kavi yesterday that gitanjali would be in today, thursday and friday - kavi had a thunderstruck look on her face as she has a submission she is trying to complete. what to do? one of the occassional hazards of working here is that you may find gitanjali underfoot when you least expect it.

kavi is in court, doing a mention for jit who is v. sick - thus she could not buy us breakfast and we had to settle for noodles from china press. the mamak restaurant downstairs is mysteriously closed again. cannot comprehend it, as in my 5 years here have never seen them closing shop before (let alone twice in a month)... shall investigate and keep you informed. watch out for it.

mehala is still not in, but has not called yet today.
