Mrs. Mehala

Oh dear, we know we have been neglecting you, but what to do? Busy, busy, busy…

Quick recap of the last week:

Went to tanjung rambutan (kavi’s hometown) on Friday. Ate, ate and ate some more. Took a shower, then ate a lot more. Visited Mehala at her aunty’s (the bride’s official residence). Slept.

Woke up Saturday and had breakfast, then got dressed and went for mehala’s wedding.

mehala got Married !!! she looked beautiful doing so.

Had lunch then went to ipoh and dressed down. Then went out and ate some more. Search for crème caramel ended disappointingly, but we made up for it with everything else we ate.

In between we had the grand tour of tanjung rambutan (kavi’s hometown) – we saw the stud farm (lots of horses), and the hospital for the emotionally challenged (some of you rude people out there might be saying the mental asylum – but not us. We are very politically correct). Wow. It is huge. Not at all what we had imagined it to be. It (the hospital) was 3 times the size of the town, and looked more like a golf and country resort then anything else. Sprawling lawns spotted by buildings here and there. Unfortunately, we did not see any of the inmates doing anything interesting (one whole humorous story just wasted, b’cos we went there when they were having dinner…).

Anyway, came back Saturday evening, fat all around. Vowed to stop eating.

Today is Wednesday, and we still haven’t stopped (eating that is).
Excitement of the day: we have fighting fish (!!!!!????!!!) courtesy of shan. Two. One for kavi (little red baby fightingfish – goes by the name of Morrie), and one for me (gorgeous red blue purple fish – he had an identity crisis for a while – but now goes by the name of Ransom). They are happily swimming along in their little bowls. 2 bowls. Apparently you cannot keep them together-gether…
